June 2011 Favorites

Hey guys! Here's a review of my favorite products in this month!

1. Coppertone Ultra Guard Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 - Since I have a sun allergy/heat allergy on my arms I have to wear a high SPF lotion every day. I really like this because it not only protects me from the sun, it's also moisturizing. It hasn't made me itchy or cause me to have any signs of tanning.

2. Rimmel London Glam Eye Mono Eyeshadow in Glam Ice - This is an GREAT white eyeshadow to have. It has amazing pigmentation and goes on very smooth and buttery. I love this a lot!

3. Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat in Antiqued Gold - I love this polish! When I first tried it on I was very disappointed because it would not shatter when I applied it. But after experimenting with it I found out the best way to apply this is by dabbing it in sections. It is so beautiful and flattering! I will have a pic of my mani with this soon.

4. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color in Blue-Away - This is a great opaque light blue! One coat is all you need.

5. Milani Nail Polish in Paradise Pink - I absolutely adore this nail polish. It's a really light pink similar to OPI Mod About You or Essie Fiji. It makes you look tan. It is so beautiful and flattering! It's opaque in 2 coats.

6. Revlon Nail Enamel in Minted - This is one of the first Revlon nailpolishes that I tried that I did not have any issues with. The color came nice and opaque in 2-3 coats and dried well. I like how the color is a more green than Essie Mint Candy Apple.

7. CoverGirl Intense Shadow Blast Eyeshadow primers in Beige Blaze 800 - I've been using this primer a lot lately and I really love it. It makes my eyeshadows stay on the whole day without any creasing. I will be reviewing this soon!

8. E.L.F. All Over Color Stick in Pink Lemonade - When I first tried this product I didn't like it because I was using it wrong. I also didn't like it because I thought it was a bit too sticky/creamy. I figured out the best way to use it is to swipe it on your cheeks and blend it with a stippling brush. The color looks amazing and is very long lasting.

9. Revlon PhotoReady Foundation in Golden Beige 008 - I revisited one of my old product and I can say I really love it. It gives a great glow. Read my review here.

10. Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine in Nude Glow - This color isn't really a nude, it's more or a neutral sunkissed bronze. I really like this becuase it makes my lips look natural yet fuller. I will be reviewing this soon.

11. Milani Baked Blush in Red Vino - I love these baked blushes! I like this one because it's very pigmented and gives me a great glow!

12. L'Oreal HIP Concentrated Shadow Duo in Shady - This is a great shadow duo for an everyday look. The eyeshadows are matte. I really liked this because it makes me look natural yet polished. This is a must have!

13. Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in 002 Crystal Lilac - When I first heard about this color I didn't understand all the hype about it. But after I tried it, I really do like it! It gives me a nice light pink sheen on my lips, kind of like the lips of girls in hiphop videos (LOL). But it really really do love this!

14. Sonia Kashuk Pointed Foundation Brush - This is an amazing foundation brush. It blends my foundation very nice a smooth. It is great for blending is small hard to reach areas like your hair line and lips/nose area.

I hope this was helpful! More reviews will be coming up!

NEW Great Pinks & Perfect Nudes from Revlon (Pic Heavy)

Hey guys! I wanted to share a haul I did in April. I absolutely LOVE all these colors and recommend all of them. I bought them during a Revlon sale in Rite Aid. Here they are:

So lets start the review. Also the Rimmel lipstick in this picture is Sunset which has been discontinued so I don't want to include this in the review.

Revlon Primrose (668) - this lipstick is a creme finish. It is a pink-lilac shade. I was surprised when I wore it on my lips it looked much lighter than I thought but I still found it wearable. It can be sheer and dry compared to other Revlon Creme lipsticks. It's still a nice unique everyday pink.

Revlon Icy Nude (002)
- THIS IS MY HG* NUDE LIPSTICK!!! Perfect nude if you are around a MAC NC40. It isn't as creamy as the other colorburst lipsticks because it has glitter particles but it does not show up on my lips. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this lipstick!

Revlon Smoked Peach (013) - this is a nice BRIGHT peachy orange. It is matte finish but goes on very creamy and smooth which is what I like about it the most. I like it but I have to tone it down a bit. ***note spelling is Smoked not Smokey (oops XD)

Revlon Sky Pink (012) - this is a matte light/medium pink. It goes on pigmented and creamy but is also on the bright side. It's color is similar to MAC Snob. I like it and recommend it.

Revlon Timeless Nude (512) - THIS IS MY HG* NUDE LIPGLOSS!!! It is a Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze and a pinky-nude-tan. It is very pigmented but can be drying. I have to reapply it often. When worn on my lips it is the most perfectest nude!! I LOVE THIS. I recommend this if you are a skintone around MAC NC40 since it is hard for us to find that perfect nude!

Swatches
Top: Revlon Timeless Nude (512)
Bottom: Revlon Primrose (668), Revlon Sky Pink (012),
Revlon Icy Nude (002),
Revlon Smoked Peach (013)

Please feel free to recommend any other great pinks and nudes.

Estee Lauder Pink-Teal Shadowstick Duo Review

Hey guys! I normally don't purchase Estee Lauder products but I have tried some samples my mom has gotten with her Lauder purchases. After seeing Temptalia's review on this product, I was so hyped, I purchased it the next day.

This is a limited edition product from their Bronze Goddess Soleil Summer Color 2011. What really made me purchase the product was that it was $20 and was being compared to the Urban Decay Jumbo pencils

I really like the colors of these two. They are both unique for a jumbo pencil! But my favorite is the pink side. It is a rosey pink with the prettiest golden sheen. It looks mostly gold when I wear it since I have tan skin, but it still looks awesome!

I like that they are long wearing and hasn't creased on me. Here's some swatches:

May 2011 Favorites

I'm back after a very long Hiatus! I was stressing with classes and finals while I was gone, but now that's over it's time to blog! I've done some huge major hauling that I will be sharing in the next few posts, so make sure you check back!

So here are some products that I was obsessed with this month!

Nivea Express Hydration in Sea Lotus
- I got this sample in my Free Target Sample bag. Eversince I got this, is has been in my bag. I have been in love with this and use it for emergencies!

Wet 'n Wild Eyeshadow Coloricon Trio in Walking on Eggshells - This was one my first eyeshadow pallete from Wet 'n Wild and man I was so amazed! It is soo pigmented, long lasting and reminds me of my favorite MAC eyeshadows, Nylon, Mulch(lighter version), & Jest. LOVE!

Maybelline Great Lash in Royal Blue - when I first bought this I was expecting a huge pop of bright blue on my eyes and was very disappointed when it wouldn't show as apparent (but only shows in sunlight). However I have found ways to make this work and I love the way in lengthens my lashes. I can't live without this mascara!!

Physicians Formula Eye Booster in Ultra Black - I absolutely love this eyeliner!! It glides on so easily without having me pull my eyes. However one thing I really dislike about it is the lash growing formula, which has made my lashes grow (I already have long lashes). I hope they make the eyeliner without the serum because it's an amazing product and I keep reaching for it.

Revlon Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze in Timeless Nude - OMG this is the perfect nude lipgloss for me! I absolutely love this to death!! I really reccomenf this for girls who are in the range of tan skin!

Studio 35 Beauty Mineral Makeup Concealer Brush - comes in a set of 4 brushes. I bought this set from Target. It comes with a stippling brush also which is really good. I really like this concealer brush because it does a great job!

Neutrogena Naturals Lip Balm - I also got this sample in my Free Target Sample bag. I've been using it eversince! I love that it's natural, paraben free and has a slight minty tingly feeling. This product has encouraged me to buy the other things in this Natural line!

Loreal HIP Color Crystal Eyeliner in 814 Bronze Shimmer
- I absolutely love this eyeliner. It os the perfect bronze and has the most beautifulest gold shimmers in it. <3

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Peach - I have rediscovered one of my old goodies. I didn't like it much before as I do now. It's a nice brightening casual color to wear. Read my review here!

Physicians Formula Blush in Pink Glow - I really like how this blush is matte and gives me and natural flush of color since I can be very pale at times.

Bath & Body Works Hawaii Coconut Body Lotion - This is one of my most favortiest smells in Body Lotion. It reminds me of drinking Pina Coladas and smells like it too! I love it!

I will have individual reviews on some of these products and many more stuff from the drugstore! Thanks for reading! :)

Milani Baked Marble and Metallic Eyeshadows Swatches

Hey guys! I've been gone for a while since my computer has a virus! Anyways, I wanted to share these eyeshadow I have been obsessing over! I've been testing them out for a while so I am quite familiar with their formula. I first noticed them when I was on my hunt in CVS looking for the Milani's new one coat glitter nailpolishes. On the display next to them I noticed these baked eyeshadows.

After trying four of these for the first time I was in LOVE and purchased many more. For sure I knew I loved these so much I purchased 6 more of them last week once again during the BOGO 50% off sale in CVS. So here's a compilation of all my hauls!

Marble Eyeshadows
Mingling – light frosty baby blue with white and silver glitters swirled
Intermix - brown with white and chocolate glitters swirled
Drenched in Gold - metallic yellow gold with cream and copper swirled
Together 4Ever – indigo blue with bronze and blue glitters swirled
Mélange – charcoal with white and gold glitters swirled
Medley – charcoal with silver glitters swirled
Fusion – purple with gold and copper glitter swirled

Metallic Eyeshadows
I Heart You
- burnt red/orange with red sheen

Milani Baked Marble and Metallic Eyeshadows Swatches With Flash

These remind me a bit of MAC Mineralized eyeshadows but I wouldn't say they are the exact dupe since the colors are different however the formulas are the same. If you like MAC Mineralized eyeshadows then you'll definetly love these! Plus I love how they were half the price of MAC eyeshadows and I purchased more of them during the weekly drugstore sale!

The method of wearing any baked eyeshadows can be tricky at first, but some ways I applied them were:
- As an all over color with Urban Decay Primer Potion underneath, NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, or MAC Greasepaint Sticks

- Apply them wet by either wetting the brush or taking some product on a brush and applying Fix+

-In the center of my eyes on my normal eyeshadow for a three dimensional look

I love these so much I will definitely purchase more colors soon! They are limited edition in CVS but I saw that they are now available on Milani's website, Cherryculture.com and Walgreen stores.

Winter Glow: Milani Baked Bronzer Review and Swatches

Hey guys! I'm here to share with you my two new favorite bronzers that I have kept my eye on for months! They are both very fantastic, inexpensive, and can compliment any skintone.

Milani Baked Bronzer in in 04 Glow and 05 Soleil

Milani Baked Bronzer in Glow - this is a light bronzer with has a mauvey-rosey brown undertone with golden shimmers. It reminds me of MAC Rose Ole highlight which recently came out a few weeks ago. Against my tan skin it looks like a light rosey tint but I can still contour with it if I build it up. It looks very flattering and natural! I love it!

Milani Baked Bronzer in Soleil - this is a golden brown color with golden shimmers and sheen. It shows up on my tan skin well as a contour yet looks very natural at the same time. It has the same affect as how NARS Laguna has on my skin (which is this natural contoured glow). This shade seems like it will be best suited for all skintones and I absolutely love using it!

Although these two look similar in pan, they come off looking very different once worn.

They also have a compartment underneath with a mirror and a brush (good for contouring)!

Swatches

I love them especially right now at the moment because I can:

1. Contour my face with them, especially the color Soleil, which comes off looking very natural and help my face look thinner since my face is round (contouring is a must for me!).

2. Even out my pale skin. Since it's winter right now, my skin still as a slight tan but still looks dull. Both colors help brighten up my face if I use them all-over.

3. Use it as a highlight. Especially the color Glow, since I have medium-medium/deep skin, it comes of very light, rosey, and flattering as a high cheekbone highlight.

I hope this was helpful! Thanks for reading! :)

Milani Nailpolish Jewel FX Swatches and More

Hey all. Happy New Year! I just wanted to share these beautiful Milani Nailpolishes that I absolutely love! Ever since I heard blogs talk about them in early December I was determined to find them. Unfortunately my local CVS did not even get this collection so I had to do a lot of hunting. I was only able to find 3 from Milani's new Rockstar Heavy Glitter polishes and one from their Haute Value collection. I knew my boyfriend's CVS has a large beauty section and I knew they would have them, so I called him up that day and made him hunt for the rest with his mom and finally have all of them!

From Left to Right: Milani Tailor Made, Gold Glitz, Gems, Gold

Milani Tailor Made - From the Haute Value collection. Its a sheer blue with purple sheen. I applied two coats. It doesn't streak but probably look more opaque under white nail polish. I still love the facts that its sheer because most my nail polishes are opaque.

Milani Gold Glitz - From the One Coat Glitters collection. Its a typical warm gold glitter. I applied two coats. Very opaque dries very quickly and has a matte yet glittery finish.

Milani Gems - From the Jewel FX collection. It has rainbow chunks of glitter. I applied two coats. I had to pat it on but I absolutely love this one!

Milani Gold - From the Jewel FX collection. It has gold hexagon chunks of glitter. I applied two coats. I had to pat it on.

From Left to Right: Milani Silver Dazzle, Purple Gleam, Blue Flash, Red Sparkle

Milani Silver Dazzle - From the One Coat Glitters collection. Its a charcoal with sliver glitter. I applied two coats. Very opaque dries very quickly and has a matte yet glittery finish.

Milani Purple Gleam - From the One Coat Glitters collection. Its a fuchsia/purple glitter. I applied two coats. Very opaque dries very quickly and has a matte yet glittery finish.

Milani Blue Flash - From the One Coat Glitters collection. Its a turqoise blue glitter. I applied two coats. Very opaque dries very quickly and has a matte yet glittery finish.

Milani Red Sparkle - From the One Coat Glitters collection. Its a red glitter. I applied two coats. Very opaque dries very quickly and has a matte yet glittery finish.

Here's a picture of all the polishes.

The reason I went a bit out my way to get these because I thought they were all limited edition. However I found out that all the black caps are not and will be in stores in the Spring! So, I'm glad that it still will be available!

I also bought 2 of their baked eyeshadows that I will review soon.

I hope this was helpful thanks for reading and thanks to all my 300 followers :D
