My Top 10 Favorite MAC Eyeshadows

Hey, I got this lovely idea from A Brilliant Brunette's blog, so I though I'd share a couple of my favorite MAC eyeshadows that are from their permanent collection.

Listed from left to right in-order of the picture.
1. Goldmine - shimmery pigmented real gold
2. Cranberry -pigmented berry with purple glaze
3. Nylon - MY FAVE! especially for my inner eye. pigmented creamy pearl
4. Beauty Marked - black/maroon sparkles. Good for the crease area
5. Mulch - pigmented pearly brown. Good for the crease area
6. Amber Lights - very pigmented bronze/gold with shimmers
7. Humid - very pigmented forest green. I LOVE THIS
8. Sketch -matte maroon. Good for the crease area
9. Electra -for my inner eye. pigmented true silver
10. Deep Truth - pigmented navy with cobalt sparkles.


Swatches

Another eyeshadow that I don't have pictured or own is MAC Jest (which is a shimmery champagne) and it is perfect for my everyday wearing alone. I need to purchase this and I highly recommend it.

MAC - Spring Colour Forecast and Lillyland Swatches

Hey guys, I was originally going to post this up last month but i never had a chance to upload everything. So here's the haul that I did from the Spring Color Forecast.



Let's start with the lipsticks. I got a lot of them!
Lipstick
Bubblegum (Glaze)LE: From the Spring Colour Forecast Colour 1 collection. It's a light lavender pink. It's a great color to add to a purple lipstcik collection.
Radiccio (Lustre)LE: From the Spring Colour Forecast Colour 3 collection.It's a sheer mid-tone blue mauve. It looks like a rosey-purple on lips.
Pink Burst (Frost)LE: From the Spring Colour Forecast Colour 1 collection. It's a clean bright pink with pearl, It looks like Strayin' from the Hello Kitty Collection but has more sparkles.




Lipstick
Victorian (Frost)LE: From the Spring Colour Forecast Colour 2 collection. It's a frosted light golden pink, I love this one soo much that I bought a dupe! It also doesn't feel like a frost lipstick, it was quite smooth.
Rose Maiden (Frost)LE: From the Spring Colour Forecast Colour 2 collection.It's a frosted bright berry, it's a nice light red to wear.
Colour Me Coral (Frost)LE: From the Spring Colour Forecast Colour 2 collection. It's a frosted light coral. It looks a bit gold and metallic on my lips.



Blush
Joie-De-Vivre (Cremeblend)LE: From the Lillyland collection. It's a creamy peachy coral. It's definately a must have!




Eyeshadow
Hot Hot Hot (Satin)LE: From the Spring Colour Forecast Colour 2 collection It's a matte light coral. It was very hard for me to swatch it. I heard it's very pigmented but it doesn't seem like that for me.

MAC Give Me Liberty Swatches & Reviews

Finally I have a chance to go on my blog again after a crazy row of exams. I've been doing a lot of hauling lately but haven't had the chance to upload them onto my blog. I will posting up my reviews and swatches of the recent collections that came out in this week, so keep checking back for more updates. Well on Thursday, March 11 (the day the collection came out) I went and bought items from MAC's Give Me Liberty Collection, and here's what I got!

Let's start with the lipglosses. Here's what I bought.Lipglass
Frankly Fresh (Tinted)LE: From the Give Me Liberty of London collection. It's a neutral pink beige with soft pearl and makes a great nude.
Perennial High Style (Tinted)LE: From the Give Me Liberty of London collection. It's a creamy bright pink coral. It has no shimmer. If you love corals, you should definately get this!
English Accents (Tinted)LE: From the Give Me Liberty of London collection. It's a midtone blue pink with a little shimmer. It reminds me of a gloss version of Viva Glam Gaga!






Now Lipsticks. Here's what I bought.Lipstick
Ever Hip (Cremesheen)LE: From the Give Me Liberty of London collection. It's a creamy light coral. It makes a great neutral colored lipstick.
Peachstock (Satin)PRO: From the Give Me Liberty of London collection. It's a tanned peach. It looks very nude but not chalky. It makes a great nude for all shades.
Blooming Lovely (Amplified)LE: From the Give Me Liberty of London collection. It's a creamy greyed lilac mauve. Very similar to Lavender Whip but more wearable.
Petals & Peacocks (Amplified)LE: From the Give Me Liberty of London collection. It's a very creamy bright magenta pink, It's very unique and more blue based than Show Orchid.






Finally, here are two of the eyeshadows I purchased. Each eyeshadow has it's own unique colored flower printed on the case.
Lipstick
Bough Grey (Satin)LE: From the Give Me Liberty of London collection. It's a mid-tone blueish grey. A very unique color and great for smokey eyes.
Birds & Berries (Veluxe Pearl)LE: From the Give Me Liberty of London collection. It's a frosted dark green blue with a iridescent blue lustre.


My camera didn't capture these so well but you can trust me. They are beautiful colors.

MAC Violetta, Other Limited Edition Products, and Comparisions

Hi , I haven't been blogging lately since I've been busy with school, but meanwhile I have been purchasing a lot of MAC stuff. I made this purchase probably like 3-4 weeks ago and finally I have a chance to post up some swatches. All of these products are limited edition, and I don't have many permanent products since I'm new to this and it seem as though all the things I like are put as limited edition. So here's what I got.

Lipsticks
Violetta (Amplified Creme)PRO: This is my first purple lipstick! It's a very pretty and bright fuchsia purple and it's a PRO item, so I assumed it would be really pigmented and it is! I got it from the MAC website from the Have A Love Affair promo/collection.
Most Popular (Lustre) LE: I saw this as a 'goodbye' [tear] but it was one of the ones that was apart of the hello kitty collection. It's a sheer/light maroon color. The website describes it as a purple with yellow undertone.
High Def (Amplified Creme) LE: This is a goodbye also. It's from High Def collection lol. It's a mid-tone neutral coral. It's very nice as a nude with a pigment.
Empowered (Satin) LE: From the All Ages, All Races and All Sexes collection. It's a creamy mid-tone neutral brown. Some people say it's similar to Siss.




Eyeshadows
Banshee (Lustre)LE: From the All Ages, All Races and All Sexes collection. It's a dirty taupe with frost and sparkle diamond cluster. Looks very neutral when worn.
Love Lace (Veluxe Pearl) LE: From the Love Lace collection. Frosted mid-tone grey-ish blue. Good for a smokey look.



Lipglass
2N (Tinted)LE: A re-promote but now from the Warm & Cozy collection. It's a creamy neutral yellow pink. A must have!


I decided to do some comparisons with other lipglasses I already have. And as you can see is more pinker than Wildy Lush but also has a orange/yellow undertone.

My First Experience at CCO (Deer Park, NY)

Things I got from CCO in Deer Park, NY

Pros: Got a lot of Limited Edition MAC stuff for cheap, Took about 30 mins to get there, Nice empty mall to shop at, beautiful environment

Cons: The rule of # of items to buy at CCO, the unhelpful people working at the store

I've been waiting for the Friends & Family MAC Sale to come , so I have been reading forums on Specktra.net and it seems that MAC won't be having a sale around this time. I also started reading about The Cosmetics Company Store or CCO. If you don't know what CCO is it's an outlet shop that features Estee Lauder-owned brands such as MAC, Bobbi Brown, FLIRT! and more. At CCO they have products that include overstock, discontinued colors, and limited-edition products. The thing that that makes this great is that now people can buy products they missed out on. But what really grabbed my attention was that these products were 30-40% off their original price! And after I read the forums on Specktra I was really tempted to go there. And so I did on Tuesday, January 12 and here's what I got!

Things I got from CCO in Deer Park, NY, again w/out boxes

So the prices for each items are:
Eyeshadow: $10.25
Lipstick: $10.00
Lipglass: $10.00
Blush: $12.25
Mineralize Blush: $15.75
Eyeliner: $10.25
Lashes: $9.25

They sucky part about this was that there was is a rule for CCO's that you can only buy three of each item. I think I read this on a forum but I thought they meant that you could only buy no more than three of certain product (For example: X-Rocks, X-Rocks, X-Rocks), but it really meant that I can only buy ONLY three blushes, three lipsticks, three of everything which is the most dumbest thing I've heard. I was able to get four eyeshadows beucase my sister was with me. But this rule really turned me off. And the worst part about this was that the lady working at the store made it so complicated for us saying that we even have to use a different type of payment just to get the extra eyeshadow! How wierd is that! Anyways, so let me give a detailed review of the things I bought.
NOTE: All the things were brand new in boxes, I used some of them as you can see in the pix :)

Lipsticks
Strayin' (Frost)LE: From the MAC Hello Kitty Collection. I didn;t relize this was a frost but the color looks so beautiful on my tanned lips. I think its the perfect everyday fuchsia.
Sunsonic (Frost) LE: From the Neo Sci-Fi Collection. It was my first frost lipstick and I didn't relize how hard it feels on lips. The color looks very silvery on my lips but a bit tanner on my hands. I think it a better Bubbles for more tanner people.
Electro (Lustre) LE: From the Neo Sci-Fi Collection. It's Bright orange very similar looking to Morange but seems a bit creamier to me.

Eyeshadows:

Bitter (Velvet) : Vivid green with shimmer. A bit hard to make the color come onto my eyes and hands.
Cool Heat (Frost) LE: Teal with dimensional pearl. Blends very nicely.
Poison Pen (Matte²) LE: Mid-tone purple with grey. This was my first time trying this finish! All I can say is that I LOVE IT. It's soo pigmented and easy to apply.
Femme Fi (Frost) LE: Soft golden yellow. From the Neo Sci-Fi Collection. Perfect color for highlighting.

Blushes
X-Rocks LE: Neo Sci-Fi Sheertone shimmer blush. Shimmery dirty mauve, smooth applies nicely, very creamy.
Intenso LE: Mineralize Blush Duo. Top blush is a marble gold & pink, bottom blush is rose with gold glitters.
Joyous LE: Dark Peach with gold pearl. LOVE IT!

Liner
So There Jade (Powerpoint): Light green jade, looks for bluish to me. Soo beautiful & unique I fell in love with it! Also it doesn't smudge! Still Available!

Lashes
Lash #34: Dramatically long. Wispy. Features a long, winged-corner edge. Still Available!

Lipglass
Soft & Slow (Tinted) LE: Rose with gold pearl
