CVS Milani 75% off Sale HUGE Haul

CVS is having a massive Milani sale right now. I believe it is to make room for many new products. Here is what I got. There are lots of products on sale right now like blushes, lipsticks, concealers and etc. Nouveau Cheap's blog has a full list of the products just in case your CVS did not mark down the items. None of the CVS's I went to knew about the sale, I pretty much surprised the cashier with all these items LOL.

CVS isn't the only store having a Milani clearance, Duane Reade (Walgreens of NYC) is also discounting many Milani products as well as other makeup brands. There are some different items in this clearance, like the Tantastic bronzers, some runway eyeshadows, and different nailpolish colors that CVS doesn't carry. My favorite base coat is on clearance so I decided to stock up. I hope it is not being discontinued.

Make sure you guys check out these awesome sales! :)

And if you guys did, let me know what you guys picked up!

Black Radiance Downtown Browns Swatches

When I saw this product on Nouveau Cheap I thought it was by wet n wild but actually its Black Radiance. I have never tried Black Radiance before but I have been really loving wet n wild eyeshadows for their amazing texture, pigmentation, and lasting power. I found that these eyeshadows are exactly like the same as the wet n wild eyeshadows but are different colors. I actually prefer these colors since they are neutral browns and suited everyday use.

This palette looks like Wet N Wild's Comfort Zone because of appearance, however the colors are not the same at all. The colors look like purples and greens but however when swatched and worn they look brow.n I really love how richly pigmented the colors in this palette are, the only shade that I did not find as pigmented is the crease color on the left side, however when worn in my crease I noticed that this one gave me the least fallout while applying.

Swatches

I would have to say that this palette has some MAC dupes. The left eyelid color looks like Satin Taupe, the right eyelid color like MAC Sketch and right crease color like MAC Beauty Marked. My favorite colors are both of the browbone and accent colors.

Price wise, the cost was $7.49 at Duane Reade. There were $1 off coupons next to the displays but valid for Walgreens, however the cashier accepted it. Wet N Wild's Comfort Zone costs $5, however I feel that this Black Radiance palette is a little bit more pigmented than the Wet N Wild.

Overall, I think this eye shadow palette is good for its pigmentation, colors, value, and longevity. The only issue I had with this palatte was the fall out I got while applying the eyeshadows on my eyes. I see this palette as more as a smokey brown look than the nude browns but it stll is very versatile.

I hope this review was helpful. :)

Milani July 2011 Products Review, Swatches, & Comparisons

Hey guys! I'm here to share with you some new products by my favorite drugstore company, Milani ! I get very excited when drugstores come out with their limited edition products but sometimes they just seem okay, however these are an exception. These products are all amazing and I highly recommend getting your hands on them!

High Speed Fast Dry One Coat Formula Nail Lacquer
It comes in shades Purple Rush, Instantaneous Blue, Racy Green, Fast Fuchsia, Jiffy Orange, Violet Dash, Yellow Whiz, & Hot Pink Frenzy. I have 7 out of 8 of them and I must say that they were much much more better than what I expected them to be!

Racy Green - emerald/teal color with green shimmers, opaque
Instantaneous Blue - royal blue with hints of pink shimmer, opaque
Purple Rush - true dark purple with violet shimmers, opaque
Violet Dash - thick opaque creme midtone lavender
Fast Fuchsia - thick opaque creme dark magenta with purple undertones
Jiffy Orange - thick opaque creme bright orange with red undertones
Yellow Whiz - thick opaque creme bright lemon-y yellow

Swatches (One Coat Used)
Milani High Speed Fast Dry One Coat
Lacquer Swatches from L to R :

Haute Flash Full Coverage Shimmer Lipglosses are available in shades 101 Hot Flash, 102 Flashy, 103 In a Flash, & 104 Star Flash.

104 Star Flash - I was expecting it to be a much lighter pink but it looks like a muted fuchsia with an bright light blue sheen/shimmer. I like how its very unique and reminds me of Lisa Frank :). It's a bit to bold to be worn alone during daylight, would prefer this for clubbing. But I also tried it over some hard to wear light pink lipsticks and I must say that it made the colors instantly pop and look so beautiful!

Color Streaks Hair Mascara
It comes in shades, Fun in Red, Solid in Gold, Cool in Blue, Awesome in Purple, & Dramatic Shimmer. It has a mascara-like applicator brush. When you brush it through your hair it gives you small streaks of color. It blends in with your natural hair color. It also contains Keratin, which helps rebuild and restore hair

Solid in Gold - golden copper streaks, this gives me instant highlights! great for dark hair, it's my fave of the bunch!
Cool in Blue - royal blue streaks, shows up on my hair, but is probably better seen on lighter hair. I like how it's very pigmented
Awesome in Purple - dark purple streaks, i love how this gives my hair dimension!
Dramatic Shimmer - black jelly with iridescent boxy sequin pieces, this would be great for lighter hair giving some black streaks or even touching up or grey hairs! you can also control the amount of glitters you apply on your hair.

June 2011 Favorites

Hey guys! Here's a review of my favorite products in this month!

1. Coppertone Ultra Guard Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 - Since I have a sun allergy/heat allergy on my arms I have to wear a high SPF lotion every day. I really like this because it not only protects me from the sun, it's also moisturizing. It hasn't made me itchy or cause me to have any signs of tanning.

2. Rimmel London Glam Eye Mono Eyeshadow in Glam Ice - This is an GREAT white eyeshadow to have. It has amazing pigmentation and goes on very smooth and buttery. I love this a lot!

3. Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat in Antiqued Gold - I love this polish! When I first tried it on I was very disappointed because it would not shatter when I applied it. But after experimenting with it I found out the best way to apply this is by dabbing it in sections. It is so beautiful and flattering! I will have a pic of my mani with this soon.

4. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color in Blue-Away - This is a great opaque light blue! One coat is all you need.

5. Milani Nail Polish in Paradise Pink - I absolutely adore this nail polish. It's a really light pink similar to OPI Mod About You or Essie Fiji. It makes you look tan. It is so beautiful and flattering! It's opaque in 2 coats.

6. Revlon Nail Enamel in Minted - This is one of the first Revlon nailpolishes that I tried that I did not have any issues with. The color came nice and opaque in 2-3 coats and dried well. I like how the color is a more green than Essie Mint Candy Apple.

7. CoverGirl Intense Shadow Blast Eyeshadow primers in Beige Blaze 800 - I've been using this primer a lot lately and I really love it. It makes my eyeshadows stay on the whole day without any creasing. I will be reviewing this soon!

8. E.L.F. All Over Color Stick in Pink Lemonade - When I first tried this product I didn't like it because I was using it wrong. I also didn't like it because I thought it was a bit too sticky/creamy. I figured out the best way to use it is to swipe it on your cheeks and blend it with a stippling brush. The color looks amazing and is very long lasting.

9. Revlon PhotoReady Foundation in Golden Beige 008 - I revisited one of my old product and I can say I really love it. It gives a great glow. Read my review here.

10. Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine in Nude Glow - This color isn't really a nude, it's more or a neutral sunkissed bronze. I really like this becuase it makes my lips look natural yet fuller. I will be reviewing this soon.

11. Milani Baked Blush in Red Vino - I love these baked blushes! I like this one because it's very pigmented and gives me a great glow!

12. L'Oreal HIP Concentrated Shadow Duo in Shady - This is a great shadow duo for an everyday look. The eyeshadows are matte. I really liked this because it makes me look natural yet polished. This is a must have!

13. Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in 002 Crystal Lilac - When I first heard about this color I didn't understand all the hype about it. But after I tried it, I really do like it! It gives me a nice light pink sheen on my lips, kind of like the lips of girls in hiphop videos (LOL). But it really really do love this!

14. Sonia Kashuk Pointed Foundation Brush - This is an amazing foundation brush. It blends my foundation very nice a smooth. It is great for blending is small hard to reach areas like your hair line and lips/nose area.

I hope this was helpful! More reviews will be coming up!

NEW Great Pinks & Perfect Nudes from Revlon (Pic Heavy)

Hey guys! I wanted to share a haul I did in April. I absolutely LOVE all these colors and recommend all of them. I bought them during a Revlon sale in Rite Aid. Here they are:

So lets start the review. Also the Rimmel lipstick in this picture is Sunset which has been discontinued so I don't want to include this in the review.

Revlon Primrose (668) - this lipstick is a creme finish. It is a pink-lilac shade. I was surprised when I wore it on my lips it looked much lighter than I thought but I still found it wearable. It can be sheer and dry compared to other Revlon Creme lipsticks. It's still a nice unique everyday pink.

Revlon Icy Nude (002)
- THIS IS MY HG* NUDE LIPSTICK!!! Perfect nude if you are around a MAC NC40. It isn't as creamy as the other colorburst lipsticks because it has glitter particles but it does not show up on my lips. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this lipstick!

Revlon Smoked Peach (013) - this is a nice BRIGHT peachy orange. It is matte finish but goes on very creamy and smooth which is what I like about it the most. I like it but I have to tone it down a bit. ***note spelling is Smoked not Smokey (oops XD)

Revlon Sky Pink (012) - this is a matte light/medium pink. It goes on pigmented and creamy but is also on the bright side. It's color is similar to MAC Snob. I like it and recommend it.

Revlon Timeless Nude (512) - THIS IS MY HG* NUDE LIPGLOSS!!! It is a Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze and a pinky-nude-tan. It is very pigmented but can be drying. I have to reapply it often. When worn on my lips it is the most perfectest nude!! I LOVE THIS. I recommend this if you are a skintone around MAC NC40 since it is hard for us to find that perfect nude!

Swatches
Top: Revlon Timeless Nude (512)
Bottom: Revlon Primrose (668), Revlon Sky Pink (012),
Revlon Icy Nude (002),
Revlon Smoked Peach (013)

Please feel free to recommend any other great pinks and nudes.
Thanks for reading :)
